Meetings start at 8:00 P.M. Please be there by 7:30 P.M. If you can’t attend a meeting, you must call the Master Councilor by 7:00P.M.
From the East Good Day, Brothers. This is your captain speaking and we ask that all electronic equipment be turned off at this time...Whoops, kind of slipped up there! Greetings! I am writing this notice with a few express purposes in mind. Number one, on Saturday May 10th, we are meeting at Dad Kitchell's house around 10 AM to do many things. Wear T-shirt and pants, but bring dress pants, shirt and tie for presentation later on. We are going to pot some plants and donate them to the Belair Nursing Home as a service project for the chapter. I ask that everyone attend because this is the jumpstart to my term's big goal: getting a foot into the community and letting people know we are here. That is why we are putting a public announcement of our meetings in the local newspapers, as we are also advertising the upcoming Mother's Degree in the paper too.
That also leads to my second point, Wantagh Chapter's Mother's Tribute is Monday, May 12th. There isn't much time until then, so get cracking on your parts. I already gave everyone a preliminary call or I left a message. Tying back into May 10th, we are doing a Mother's Degree rehearsal at that time. By the 10th, you should already have your part memorized. Please make an effort to do so.
Third and I know you are all sick of hearing it, but its necessary, start talking to your friends, neighbors, and classmates. Try to get them interested in DeMolay. If you hit a brick wall when trying to speak to a kid, ask me and I will tell/teach you how to sell DeMolay to another guy. It isn't that hard, it just requires a fast-thinking mind and the ability to react to any eventuality that may come your way. Something else that is related to this is that we are going to have Degrees, so make sure you know what part your doing and start memorizing.
Lastly, July 13th is the Dance-a-thon. Please make plans to attend and get sponsors to make some money, all that money is given back to the chapter. May 10th, same day as civil service, Truth Triangle is having their Installation of Officers. Any who signs up and pays for Convention first after Sports Weekend, when the papers are handed out, will receive an air-conditioned dorm room! OOOO, isn't that nice? We are going to plan a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure this summer during the month of August. I am hoping to have it Sunday the 17th of August but that may change. Prices are not known yet because all the details have not been worked out. More will be said next month! TTFN!
From The West My Brothers welcome to May. The month of Mothers Degrees. Hope all of you are memorizing your parts. Don't wait until the last day. Also, if anyone has any names of any prospects or friends that can possible be prospects, give the names to Kevin or me. And if you have any more ideas for any future fundraisers or events we can have, feel free to express your thoughts to one of the councilors. That is it from the west. See you at the meeting.
From The South Hi guys, it is nick from the South and there isn't too much going on this month, however I would like every one to memorize their PARTS for both the Mothers Degree and the 1st and 2nd degrees. If you don't know what you are doing, Please CALL me because I'm going to try and schedule a Degree practice some time soon. See you at the next meeting.
